The main objective of the project was to examine the feasibility for the operation of an FSRU for the Client. In order to meet this objective, a study is required to identify the optimal infrastructure solutions for the development of the terminal taking into account market demand, economic, environmental, geographical, safety and risk aspects.
The projected aimed at the establishment of a natural gas supply system for an insular region, involving the complete port and road network for the import and distribution of LNG. Using an FSRU as the import point, the project developed natural gas penetration strategies, as well as the financial structures for the implementation of the infrastructure investments in the sectors of transport and energy.
Τhe main objective of this project was to examine the feasibility of the supply of LNG for power generation purposes to an insular region not interconnected to the mainland power grid. The feasibility and the evaluation of the alternatives were based on technical, economical, operational, and regulatory criteria.
The project related to the acquisition and construction of an FSRU and its related infrastructure. The final study was used to secure financing and involved a market analysis, a cost benefit analysis and a business plan.
